REPURPOSE SKETCHBOOK INTO COIN CASE
How to make money in your book
What if we can take away some of the volume out of a sketchbook and use that as a case?
Find an old sketchbook.
(Well an old book will also works well)
Glue the pages with PVA glue.
Only glue up to around 15 pages each time.
This will make the cutting easier later.
Draw a rectangle in the middle of the page.
Preferably draw the lines at least 1cm from the edge.
This will allows glue to hold on better.
Cut a whole on each of these glued, thickened pages.
The thicker each of these glued pages, the harder it is to cut.
But this will mean less work for tidying up later on. So if you have sufficient strength, by all means glue more than 15 pages together at once.
Now stick all these thickened pages with wholes on them with PVA glue.
Put some weight on it.
Give the inside some colour and brighten this up. Do this both at the back and front.
Lets give it a bright colour to distinguish this repurposed sketchbook from other ordinary ones. Masking tape part of the cover to give it a more modern and unique look.
Remember, spray takes time and do not rush it.
It usually takes around 5 - 6 coating to get the colour to stick.
Well, now you can use it!
